Kojima wanted to put MGS to rest, but he keeps getting pulled back. That's why this game is made by another company yet still assisted with the main creator. It's not Metal Gear Solid, It's Metal Gear Rising. It's not tactical Stealth, it's hack & slash. New main character, new ways to play. If you want the old ways, you're gonna have to play the old MGS or
 Splinter cell.. :/

You know, I wasn't gonna try this game at all because I thought it was gonna be a story of MGS that doesn't need to be told because there really are no holes in that story anymore, but since this looks like a completely original story, hopefully they maintain the storytelling aspect of the Metal Gear series, I'll have to give it a try. The last good hack and slash game I played was God of War 3, I
 could go for another one. Let's see what they got to bring to the table.

I've been playing Since Kojima started MG, I try to learn nearly everything about what he does BECAUSE he's my favorite Dev. He wanted to end MGS an work on something different. But he kept getting pulled in making games

Yes he did want to drop, but like you said he did get pulled in to different games. I don't consider Metal Gear acid part of the story line, but it consists of the "same" idea just like MGR. I wish for a different game title but the time and money they had all in it was too much. But it is all about money. I do not blame anyone or anything about MGR, MG acid, MG portable op. Ps i did do my home work when I saw MGR to see what went wrong.

I am sorry that i did blow up. it is just i try to talk some sense into people about what
 is happening here. it is always the same comments about the name is different or random stuff that has nothing to do with MG. I love MG because it saved me when I was little from my parent's fights. Solid Snake is my hero and will always be, but I cant stand MGR because it makes the series look

Well then don't play it I guess. I loved MGS for Big Boss and Solid Snake. I own them all and love them all. But I'd rather play a stealth game as Snake than some ninja game as Raiden. I like the Samurai, the Samurai were mentioned in the game. That's the only
 reason I want to give it a shot.
